The goal of Body Armour Fitness is to help men and women maximize their potential in a comfortable, high energy and instructive atmosphere. At Body Armour Fitness, we do not rely on equipment alone to make us the leader in fitness. We understand that knowledgeable, courteous staff is essential to your success, and ours. Our trainers have a deep knowledge of physiology and fitness, as well as a friendly and understanding demeanor.

At Body Armour Fitness we specialize in transforming bodies through dynamic training with Russian Kettlebells and unorthodox training techniques that you can't replicate at your current gym. At Body Armour Fitness, we combine kettlebells, strong man training, flexibility, martial arts, heavy bags and much more to get you in to the shape you've never dreamed of.
Peter Vieira, owner and trainer at Body Armour Fitness is a life-long Rhode Islander who makes his home in East Providence with his son Dylan. Pete works as a Providence Firefighter. He's been a firefighter since 2002. Prior to that he worked at the Adult Correctional Institute for 2 years before he was accepted into the fire academy.
Pete enjoys all forms of physical
activity and tries to incorporate a multi-modal approach to his training. In
2004 Pete picked up his first kettlebell as a means to get himself in even
better shape while preparing for Firefighter Combat Challenges competitions.
Pete credits much of his success in these competitions to kettlebell training.
The kettlebell or
girya is a cast iron weight looking somewhat like a cannonball with a
handle. The kettlebell has become a popular exercise tool in the United States
due largely to the efforts of strength and flexibility coach Pavel Tsatsouline.
Kettlebell workouts are intended to increase strength, endurance, agility and
balance, challenging both the muscular and cardiovascular system with dynamic,
total-body movements
Fitness has always been a top priority for Pete and he brings over 25 years of experience in to Body Armour Fitness including:
Pete has trained clients from all walks of life, from professional athletes to the uncertain beginner, and has a routine to fit every skill level. You can often find him working with fellow firefighters and new firefighter applicants, developing workouts to help them pass all aspects of the demanding physical assessments.
Pete is fulfilling a dream with the opening of Body Armour Fitness. He wants to share this incredible mode of fitness with any one who is interested in learning. Soon, there will be a youth clinic where kettlebell training will focus solely on promoting physical fitness in children of all ages.
Pete feels that kettlebell training is the ultimate way to challenge yourself and bring your body to places you never thought possible.
